Nighttime Firearm Storage
One of the biggest responsibilities of a firearm owner is properly storing and securing your firearms. If you’re like me, when your awake your firearm is on you. Night time is a different story though.
At night your firearm must be secure, yet accessible. There are so many options for storing your firearm at night. Some have a dedicated bedside gun and lock their carry pistol in a safe or something. Some have a bedside safe, while others just leave it in a holster on the night stand. The storage options are as vast as a holster isle at a gun store, endless options.
Night time firearm storage is just about as unique as you are yourself. I have my own mix on the situation. You can preplan and preplan, yet until the situation arises you do not know what you will do. I have no children and do not have to worry about keeping them secure from untrained hands. Since I do not know exactly how I will react I have a couple options. I have my 1911 in a Tiger Holster Systems holster plate. I also keep my carry gun, Glock 23 with laser grip in the last pair of pants I wore. Since I do not know what I will do if I get woke up in the middle of the night, I have options. I also keep a holstered firearm in my pants incase I leave in the middle of the night, keys, wallet, and Glock are ready to go.
